WILDE WITHOUT THE BOY

With Gerard Logan as Oscar Wilde.

‘Wilde Without the Boy’ is Gareth Armstrong’s dramatisation of Oscar Wilde’s ‘De Profundis’, the epically brilliant and passionate letter Wilde wrote to his lover, Lord Alfred Douglas, from Reading Gaol. Two years previously, Wilde had been imprisoned for homosexual offences.

“I was a man who stood in symbolic relations to the art and culture of my age…There is only one thing for me now: absolute humility!”
